When your on your term, how does so much dang blood show up??

I mean seriously, do you really requirement that much blood to get pregnant? I've changed my wipe 6 times today, and every time, every hour the blood is sooooooo thick. seriously, it get through my jeans, its really really annoying.and its kinda worrying me how much blood i'm losing...its alot. Total is about two tablespoons.
an average personage loses approx. one cup of blood.
